Ain’t nobody gonna say no to Key Lime Pound Cake! Treat yourself with this tasty recipe from my Facebook fan, Valerie Fox!

Ingredients:
1 cup butter
1/2 cup shortening
3 cups sugar
6 eggs
3 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp lime zest
1/4 cup of fresh key lime juice

Directions:
Mix butter, shortening, and sugar. Add in eggs 1 at a time. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt and mix alternately with milk into sugar butter mixture. Add key lime juice and vanilla and pour into a greased and floured bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.

Frosting:
1/2 cup of butter
1 1/2 tsp key lime zest
1 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp salt
1 16oz package powder sugar
3 tbsp key lime juice
1-2 tbsp milk

Blend ingredients together and smooth over cake for icing.
