Crust Ingredients:
2 sticks unsalted butter (room temperature)
2 2/3 cups of all purpose flour
2/3 cup of light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line 9×13 baking sheet with foil and make sure that the foil covers the baking sheet with the sides hanging over. Combine all crust ingredients in a mixer with paddle attached until combined. Press down evenly into lined baking sheet and bake on oven for 20 minutes or until lightly browned. While the crust is in the oven, prepare your pecan topping.
Topping Ingredients:
1 stick unsalted butter
1 cup light brown sugar (packed)
1/3 cup of honey
2 tablespoons of heavy whipping cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups pecans
Directions:
Combine all ingredients except for your pecans in a medium saucepan on medium heat until it starts to boil (about 3 minutes). Remove from heat and add your pecans. Stir until combined. When crust comes out of the oven, pour your pecan mixture on top of crust and bake an additional 20 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool for about 30 minutes. Cut into squares and enjoy!
